Subject of a written 4 page 41 year restoration article published in 2022 UK and USA Austin Healey club magazines. (I can send the full detail and images of this article upon request) The 5500 mileage shown on the advert detail is that which I have completed since back on the road as my dry day in May 2020. Mileometer reads 90,000. It's a RH drive Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 and has been owned by me since 1974. Total nut bolt strip down to bare chassis and rebuild over 41 years beginning 1979. No rust. Excellent condition and runs beautifully with no rattles as my all season dry day car with only an ignition coil, sparkplug, rear hub seal failure and a replacement rear shocker. I have a scissor lift that enables me to regularly and fully both service and inspect all aspects of the vehicle. I have just completed this with engine, gearbox, suspension, brake oils and fluids and grease points replenished. She is in fine fettle. Heritage certificate matching numbers. Fully tested in June 2023 with no advice notes. Won best in show at the Hanbury Festival Sep 2021. Why am I selling? I am now 80 years old but sadly my wife is no longer with me to share experiences with this iconic British sports car we bought together in 1974. But I still get out and about and have joyous driving experiences when I do so.
